West Nusatsum Forestry road can be driven to the Odegaard Falls recreation site. Beyond this area the road continues but Nusatsum bridge #5 is out of service at this time of writing (May 2002) and you have to hike to the Ape Trail (about 1 hr to the trail head) and points south across Odegaard Pass to the Noeik valley and the view point Purgatory Lookout.
The top left picture of Odegaard Falls has been taken through the lense of small Zeiss fieldglasses... Yep, you can do it, it takes though some experimenting. |
