 On the water

Firstly, remember, we at B&B Nusatsm House offer also sight seeing trips at reasonable rates ande tailored to your interests! For fishermen or bird watchers we will do that at early hours, if you so desire.

The Bella Coola and Atnarko rivers are renowned for their salmon fishing. You will find many easily accessible fishing holes and with them comes as well great scenery.

You also have options here to charter a boat and head out into the waters of North and South Bentinck Arms. Not only is there exciting fishing out there, along the shores of the inlets several hot springs invite you for a visit.

Then there is boating You can start out easy and paddle the estuary in a canoe. Or else, and quite a bit more daring, get into a kayak and explore the shores of the inlet from Old Talheo Cannery to the hotsprings on South Bentinck Arm.

To see the Bella Coola river in a leisurely way consider a raft ride with Heritage River Rafting. For the more adventuresome there are single occupant cat rafts. You can learn to handle these miniatures in placid waters!

There are also drift boats available with experienced guides who row you close to the wildlife for that outstanding photograph!

Swimming? Yes, of course!
Still Water Lake and the Atnarko river are warm enough to do just that. After five rough kilometers of road (4x4, truck with good clearance) it's an easy hike of 3/4 hours to Still Water Lake in a pristine setting.
