Camp 2 Road

West Nusatsum FR

Loose surface (in black) The Hill

We recommend you use the BC Recreational Atlas for your jourrneys. It contains many forestry roads (FR), however, it is necessary to inquire localy whether a road can in fact be travelled!
Camp 2 Road is no longer open down to Larsen Bay and the Big Cedar. The FR into Noomst valley is deactivated and much overgrown so that it is even hard to hike on it.
The West Nusatsum FR can be driven to Nusatsum river bridge #5 (bridge to undergo repair this season of 2002), i.e. the trail head to Odegaard falls. The continuation beyond Odegaard Pass as of Purgatory Lookout is impassable. Note furthermore that an avalanch about 1km south of Nusatsum river bridge #5 leaves snow masses on the road which tend to block the road into later July!
The links to the right bring up pages with pictures, most of them of small size but be prepared for slow loading over an analog modem line!
